Mentor- Behavioural and SEMH\n\nLocation: Bromley\nHours: Part‑time\nPay Rate: £25-£30 per hour\nStart Date: ASAPThe focus of this role is to re‑engage young people with learning, build emotional resilience, and develop essential functional and life skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver bespoke intervention sessions that support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and re‑engagement\nBuild a consistent, trusting relationship with the young person\nImplement self‑regulation strategies and promote positive behaviour and confidence\nCollaborate with families and professionals to ensure cohesive support\nTrack and report progress in both emotional development and engagementRequirements\n\nExperience with SEMH or similar behavioural/emotional needs\nAbility to build rapport quickly and create a safe learning space\nCalm, nurturing, patient approach to managing behaviour and emotional dysregulation\nEnhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain oneDesirable Experience\n\nYouth work or PRU background\nTraining in de‑escalation (Team Teach, MAPA, etc.)\nKnowledge of restorative practice and trauma‑informed approachesProspero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
