- Performance of system requirements analysis, generation of requirement specifications and compliance tracking within the framework of BS EN9100C quality management system approvals.
- Developing algorithms and supporting their implementation.
- Planning, development and performance of Qualification Testing, leading to certification. 
- Generation of documentation to Mil STD 498 or similar standards.
- Support to systems integration and customer trials activities.
- System configuration and support to production.

The role may include travel to UK and foreign customer sites to support technical meeting and programme reviews.

Person Specification:

- Degree in General Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Good understanding of factors affecting the integration of sub-systems or components on Commercial Aircraft. 
- Knowledge of DO178B (a) and DO254 is essential. 
- Solid experience as a Systems Engineer, covering various aspects of the development lifecycle.
- Experience with modelling or requirement capture tools (e.g. DOORS) would be advantageous.
- Experience of Civil Aviation design regulations, such as EASA Part 21.
- The ability to work well as part of a team as well as being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer focus.
